Nicholas Andronesco, PhD, has been Inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who Registry

Dr. Andronesco is renowned as a professor at the University of Bridgeport and an expert on constructivism in physics

BRIDGEPORT, CT, May 23, 2020 – Nicholas Andronesco, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Andronesco is an esteemed researcher, writer, and educator with more than 40 years of excellence in his specialty. Born in Romania, he attributes his success to the values he learned watching his family navigate life under the country’s Communist regime in the 1980s. Fascinated by aviation and filmmaking as a child, Dr. Andronesco recognized his talents for mathematics and science, but dreamed of work that would help encourage others to live outstanding and upstanding lives.

After a chance meeting with the president of Bucharest National University of the Arts, Dr. Andronesco decided to study science, earning a Bachelor of Science in statistics, economic cybernetics, and artificial intelligence and a Bachelor of Science in physics. In 1991, he relocated to the United States from Romania, and continued his education, obtaining a master’s degree in biology. Dr. Andronesco furthered his studies with a Doctor of Philosophy at Bridgeport University in 2007. 

Through the 1990s, Dr. Andronesco found success as a professor of physics at the Fairfield University School of Engineering. Since 2001, he has excelled as a professor at Bridgeport University. Dr. Andronesco concluded his academic efforts with a Master of Science in physics from Southern Connecticut State University in 2016.

Throughout his career, Dr. Andronesco has contributed his research to more than 1400 research papers, most of which focus on topics in physics and cybernetics. In the mid-1980s, he was recruited as part of a research team studying physics and education that helped him develop a unique pedagogical style. He is the author of such published works as “Discourse on the Method: Introduction to Cybernetic Analysis in Literature,”  and the Nobel Prize-nominated “Resurrection from Hell.” Moreover, Dr. Andronesco is the former coach for the Yale Physics Olympics and the Romanian International Physics Olympics Team, and continues to tutor students and prepare them for the American League.

In addition to his primary responsibilities, Dr. Andronesco is passionate about filmmaking and the performing arts, and has completed extensive pre-professional education in film theory and production. He has written one feature-length screenplay, and is the recipient of numerous awards for his creative endeavors, including film festival awards, an accolade for his work on a 1974 stage play and an award for Arts & Culture in the Republic of Moldova. He is an honorary member of the Academy of Science, Culture and Arts, the president of the Poetry Society of China and a member of the German Society of Mathematics, Economy and the Operations Research and the Physics & Chemistry Society of Romania. Dr. Andronesco attributes his success to the many professional and personal mentors who have supported his growth over the years, and hopes to continue teaching for as long as he is able while dedicating more time for international travel.
